What Is In-Mold Labeling (IML)?
In-Mold Labeling (IML) is a labeling and decoration technology in which a pre-printed label is placed inside a mold before plastic molding. During injection molding or blow molding, the molten plastic bonds with the label, making the label an integral part of the finished product.
Unlike conventional pressure-sensitive labels, IML does not require a separate adhesive application step after molding. The label and plastic container form an integrated surface with high-quality graphics and durable decoration.
