What Is Self-Adhesive Film Material?
Self-adhesive film material is a three-layer composite material consisting of facestock, adhesive and release liner. The finished rolls are used by label converters to print, die-cut and manufacture stickers and product labels.
- Facestock: The printable top layer that determines appearance, tear resistance and resistance to water, oil and temperature.
- Adhesive: The bonding layer. Different adhesive grades provide permanent, removable, low-temperature or high-temperature performance for different substrates.
- Release Liner: The backing carrier that supports die-cutting, rewinding and waste stripping during label conversion.
